Like it’s Hard ?!?! // Harvard, Cambridge

Sharing a couple of spots we hit up during my day trip to Cambridge last weekend. Can you even call it a day trip if its literally 3.4 km away from you? Don’t be fazed by the fact that half the stuff is in Cambridge and half is in Boston, I’m pretty confident you could cover it all in half a day since everything is in walking/bus-ing distance. I think it would be cool to return when college is actually in session because on the weekend the campus felt pretty dead.

Address Book:

EatTatte: I’m slightly cheating since the Tatte I went to is the one down the road from my house but there are heaps of Tattes across Boston including one that’s right opposite Harvard Square – 1288 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge. They do a mean brunch every Friday, Saturday and Sunday or just pop in for a cuppa and one of their many many gorg pastries!

SeeHarvard Square: is a plaza at the heart of Harvard and most of the red brick buildings you see in the following photos are from Harvard Square – 18 Brattle St, Cambridge

EatMike’s Pastry: founded in 1946 in North End, Boston, Mike’s Pastry is home to the one-of-a-kind-cannoli. This Cambridge location is his second store and apparently they are a crowd favourite for sporting events, visiting friends and family – 11 Dunster St, Cambridge

SeeJohn Harvard Statue: is probably the most touched object in the University according to Harvard Magazine and located in Harvard Square. Touching his left foot apparently brings good luck (i.e. you will pass your finals) and has become shiny from human contact. College students also like to pee on it so touch at your own discretion – 1 Harvard Yard, Cambridge

ShopC’Est Bon Market & Liquors: This is a convenience store that supplies the Harvard population with alcohol and the tourists with cheap Harvard merch, I got this sweater for $37 here – 1436 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge

Shop – Harvard Square Co-op: If it’s range you’re after, then hit up this store. They have caps in every combination of collegiate colours possible, boater hats, sport-specific jerseys and guides to help you write the perfect Harvard admission essay – 1400 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge

SeeHarvard School of Law1585 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge

SeeHarvard Business School117 Western Ave, Boston

SeeHarvard Medical School – 25 Shattuck St, Boston
