Cherry Pinking // Winter to Spring Transition Pieces

Is anyone going to go to the cherry blossom festival in Sydney? Its a bit of a trek for me so I am still undecided as to whether I’ll make the trip but in the meantime, I am lucky to say that I can look out my front door and see these gorgeous blooms in full swing already! The beauty of nature is that moments are fleeting so I decided to quickly shoot with these trees in some winter to spring transitional pieces. Naturally, I gravitated to lots of pink toned pieces to complement the blooms but if you repel from the colour, I would suggest trying out terracotta coloured pieces instead!Β Whenever I’m lacking inspiration, I always turn to traditional print media and the latest issue of Vogue Australia is no exception. The August 17 issue is a special collector’s edition celebrating the ever so iconic Dior.

How beautiful. I love cherry blossoms. I lived in Japan one year and went to Kyoto for sakura season and it was breathtaking. I also did an engagement shoot in the park with sakura. I mean, how beautiful are they right? You look lovely! You must have had fun. Did you enjoy tea under the trees, as the Japanese do it?
