Black Belt // Around a Coat

Belting your jacket with a sash on a wrap coat isn’t groundbreaking but adding a belt to a coat that doesn’t have belt loops feels fresh (for lack of a better word) AF. Finding a beautifully cut camel coat is difficult (and expensive) but by adding a belt, you can create the illusion of a jacket that has been custom made to your body to a T. Take your look to the next level by layering a scarf over the coat but below the belt πŸ˜‰ and popping the collar.

I really like the belt over jacket look, but don’t wear it nearly enough! Even on my trench coats that have belts with them I rarely buckle them up. I should try it more often as it’s a nice way to add some shape to all the layers you need in winter, like you said πŸ™‚

Hope you are having a wonderful week!
