Bloom Where you are Planted // Wrapped Coats & Flowers

Over the long weekend, I received this lush bouquet of flowers courtesy of Roses Only. The brief was ‘pink’ and they nailed it, filling it with the most gorgeous pink roses, chrysanthemum pom poms (my friend calls these the Horton Hears a Who flowers haha!), ornamental kale, lilies, sweet pea and African violets. I couldn’t resist taking the colourful bunch out for a shoot in my favourite winter neutrals of the moment. I know it can be easy to fall in the trap of black during winter but if anything I try and go the opposite direction, opting for light pinks, camels, whites and metallics. There’s nothing like adding a little brightness into your every day and a bit of pep in your step. Its one of the many ways that I optimistically embrace the ‘bloom where you are planted’ mentality.

Wearing: Forever New Penelope Wrap Coat (comes in black and petite as well) / Zara Knit Jumper (similar here) / Mango Skirt (last seen here, similar here) / ASOS pointed pumps (last seen here) / Oscar Wylee ‘Paris’ Sunnies (my lenses are black because they’re prescription but also loving the champagne ones!) //
