With the heatwaves well and truly behind us, we can start getting excited about knitwear and all kinds of innovative layering! Before you rush into your coats … let’s go for the basics first – a white button up, jeans, pumps and a long scarf. Mornings are always a little bit chillier now but by midday, the sun is out and if you know Australian sun, you known its hot regardless of season! Far too hot for a knit sweater that’s for sure. Instead, introduce a knit scarf into the rotation which I like to double as a wrap when I’m at work and the air conditioning is up high.
I often like to over-style my outfits for my blog posts because I think it makes for more interesting pictures and a better starting point for a conversation but this is something I wear much more on the regular – whatever shirt is clean (and hopefully not wrinkled) and a pair of jeans. If I wanted to blog-style it up I would probably add a belt or vest or even potentially one of those trendy lace up corset type things. What’s your favourite transition piece in the colder months?
