Iolani Palace // A Tourist-y Outfit

My goodnes!!! I didn’t even notice how unflattering these pictures were until I revisited them to draft out the text portion of this post. This isn’t a sartorial outfit by any means (just remixing pieces from my suitcase, you can see that I wore the pants on my flight here and this resort knit under denim overalls here) but the images were too stunning not to share. We visited the Iolani Palace in Downtown Honolulu during our stay and wow was it a stunning masterpiece. The fact that you could find Hawaiian Renaissance architecture like this dotted around their financial district impressed me most  about this city! The King who commissioned this palace was the first monarch to travel the world and Iolani was inspired by the homes of European royalty. I haven’t been to Europe … yet but this definitely made me think I had (almost) made it. Plus, the area was so quiet, save for a couple of other tourists that I had the pleasure of shooting some wonderful images to share with you today. Shooting is much less stressful and your success rate is so much higher when you don’t have to worry about blocking pedestrians and people in your background. Enjoy!
