Another heatwave of a weekend, the only remedy for which involves submerging oneself into swimming laps at the pool and getting a good tan whilst at it. Whilst there’s nothing healthy about a tan, they do go deliciously with a pair of denim cut offs. I’ve spent the last two summers without wearing denim shorts simply because I couldn’t find a pair I really liked but I finally found the perfect pair by Australian brand One Teaspoon whilst I was in America (yep I see the irony too). They’re an excellent amount of distressed and the back panel is longer which means less chances of derrière exposing. Instead of a skin tight Kookai top, I wanted to pay homage to Nantucket summers and pair these shorts with a simple white button up, ballet flats and a very lightweight summer trench. I actually tried to sandwich in a denim jacket but it just felt a bit too Canadian. Maybe I’ll revisit this in the winter. Hope you’re surviving the heat and if you don’t live close to a Frozen Oak dispenser (that includes me, rip), you should try making a milk tea frappe: blend ice, chilled english breakfast tea, milk and vanilla ice-cream together – yummmz!
