Forcast: A Winter Picnic

The blanket cape is one of those pieces that you throw on and instantly make you look oh-so-Vogue. The size of the scarf makes it a great piece to have travelling because it doubles as a blanket for those plane or tour bus cat naps. This Forcast one in particular is incredibly lush and if you stick with black basics underneath like the everyday turtleneck (last seen in Balmy Autumn Weekend) and black skinny jeans, you’ll be out the door in no time. Its hard to extend the life of a trend piece sometimes but you could turn this blanket scarf into an actual picnic blanket if the occasion ever arises. Kidding … kind of. This is my last post for Forcast Clothing and if you haven’t had the chance to yet, check out my last two forcasts: Balmy Autumn Weekend & Winter is Coming. Also, if you are loving their winter collection as much as I do, have a sticky of their video look book here for more great inspiration to take you through this cold snap!

I live in the States and it’s SO hot here. We’re in the thick of summer, so it’s crazy to think it’s winter for you right now! I’ve never been to Australia, but it’s at the very top of my list.

Love this look — a blanket scarf is always my go-to in the cooler months. Gorgeous!

I love blanket capes in the winter. They also work very well as blankets in the office
